Instead of salivating over that $3,000 Armani suit while knowing you can never afford it, before long, you may be able to simply print one yourself for a fraction of the cost. A new generation of designers is turning to 3D printing to "democratize" fashion by making haute couture more size- and price-accessible. Designer Catherine Wales is pioneering the technique with her debut collection -- Project DNA -- that includes accessories that can be custom-fit and printed on demand.
