Study: Understanding customer personalities drives stronger sales

Finding ways to appeal to the best grocery customers on a regular basis is the key to overcoming market and economic challenges, a new study by Information Resources found. "This research uncovers an interesting paradigm -- essentially the flip side of being all things to all people -- being more meaningful to the most meaningful shoppers," IRI CMO Andrew Salzman said. The report shows how understanding varying consumer behavior on different types of shopping trips can lead to good promotion choices.
