Thoratec drops sale of subsidiary to Danaher

Thoratec has terminated the sale of International Technidyne, which manufactures point-of-care blood tests and skin incision products, to Danaher for $110 million because of disagreements on "certain aspects of ITC's quality system and regulatory filings." Thoratec said it will consider the unit as "held for sale" for its financial results despite the cancellation of the deal.
