Bioplastics development flourishes at Iowa State University

Scientists at Iowa State University are working to develop proteins based on soybeans, corn and sorghum that can be converted into plastics. Bioplastics hold promise for use in various applications and have successfully been tested in injection molding, compression molding and blown film.
