N.H. university lab initiates an Ethernet consortium

The University of New Hampshire's InterOperability Laboratory is creating a consortium for companies piloting 40- and 100-Gbps Ethernet projects in an effort to bring testing and interoperability facilities into play on the latest IEEE Ethernet standard. Leading telecoms Verizon Communications and AT&T are among vendors that have tested 100G Ethernet systems to be ready to meet emerging market demand.
