Budweiser makes billion-dollar push into Chinese market

Anheuser-Busch InBev has spent $1.4 billion in China over the past two years in order to increase the presence of its Budweiser brand. The company advertises Bud as the "Style of the King" due to Chinese restrictions, but benefits from the red label because red stands for happiness and good fortune. The China push is part of the company's global Budweiser expansion that it hopes will counteract 24 years of decline in the U.S.
