Barnes & Noble to devote expanded floor space to Nook

Barnes & Noble hopes to spur Nook sales by creating 1,000-square-foot Nook boutiques in all of its stores this fall, The New York Times reports. The chain's 720 brick-and-mortar stores provide a place for consumers to try out the devices and seek advice from staffers before buying, an advantage online competitor Amazon doesn't have, the company says.
