FDA clears Kent Medical's soft tissue marker

Kent Medical Devices has been granted 510(k) clearance by the FDA for KMD-Mark1, an implantable device designed to radiographically label biopsy and other soft tissue areas during and after surgeries. The device uses a thermoplastic polymer from Oxford Performance Materials that features bonelike properties.
