Boxer sets TSCA reform hearing for Wednesday, will follow with chairman's mark

Sen. Barbara Boxer, D-Calif., has scheduled an all-day hearing on possible updates to the Toxic Substances Reform Act, including the bipartisan proposal from Sen. David Vitter, R-La., and late Sen. Frank Lautenberg, D-N.J. After the hearing, she plans to develop a chairman's mark to include elements of the Lautenberg-Vitter bill, Lautenberg's Safe Chemicals Act and other viewpoints presented to the Environment and Public Works Committee. "That's why we are holding this hearing," she said.
