Florida HOAs fight against rental properties

Investors buying up homes in upscale Florida neighborhoods with the intention of renting them out are facing opposition from HOAs that are attempting to limit the number of rentals in their communities. "If a bulk owner came in, their main concern is income," Riviera HOA president Joel Hershkowitz says. "They are not always concerned about maintaining an asset, and the renters are not always concerned about maintaining the asset."
