Mich. nurse researcher develops genetic testing toolkit

University of Michigan School of Nursing researcher Maria Katapodi wants women at high risk of breast and ovarian cancer to get genetic testing and is offering information for families through her Family Gene Toolkit initiative. The pilot project includes meetings with a genetic counselor and oncology nurse about how to share positive test results with relatives.
