Mich. task force will consider updates to Public Health Code

Michigan health care attorney Lawrence Burns is leading a task force charged with studying the state's Public Health Code, which is 35 years old. The committee may look at changes needed to account for newer technologies and the increasing numbers of nurse practitioners and nurses with specialty certifications, who are expected to have a growing role in providing care in coming years.
