Oregon-based Code Scouts seeks to support more women in tech

Michelle Rowley, founder of support and social group Code Scouts, is hoping to help close the gender gap in computer science by giving women who are interested in the field opportunities to socialize and network. "It's a field known for being hard to break into if you don't know who to talk to or where to go," group attendee Lindsay Bong said. "That hits a deeper level for women and girls, who are not really pushed toward tech."
