State measures on firearms in schools prompt insurers to review risks

Insurers are examining the risk of state measures that enable public-school teachers and administrators to carry firearms on campus. Such legislation is under consideration in at least 34 states, according to the National Conference of State Legislatures. Kansas recently approved such a law, and some insurers are refraining from writing coverage for districts that let employees carry concealed weapons while on the job.
