Social selling can provide benefits in addition to improved profits, writes John Kearney. For example, social selling could have helped one car brand deal with the backlash that arose after the chief executive made controversial remarks about electric cars, he writes. Some companies worry that social selling will require additional resources or create new risks, but neither of these concerns holds up to scrutiny, he adds.
