Audit reveals U.S. paid $36.6M to dead farmers

The U.S. Government Accountability Office says an audit has discovered that the Department of Agriculture paid $36.6 million to farmers after they had died. The GAO says the information might "call into question whether these farm safety net programs are benefiting the agricultural sector as intended."
