Device may bring relief to patients with severe migraines

The Omega procedure may help people with severe migraines who do not get relief from drugs or other treatments. The treatment involves implanting a device beneath the skin in the lower back to send electrical pulses to prevent pain signals from reaching the brain, but pain experts said it is not without risk and is expensive.
