Diablo aims to speed up accessing data from flash-based storage

Diablo Technologies has unveiled the Memory Channel Storage architecture, which the company claims could provide a faster alternative to PCI Express in delivering data from flash-based storage to servers. Those flash storage components could also be used to provide more terabytes of data storage for servers, according to Diablo. Jim Handy of Objective Analysis said, "Having more RAM is something that a lot of people are going to get very excited about."
