Environmental regulations will trigger innovation, bolster the economy and create additional jobs, said Gina McCarthy during her inaugural speech as Environmental Protection Agency administrator at Harvard Law School in Cambridge, Mass., on Tuesday. McCarthy committed to enforcing new pollution controls despite allegations from industry groups and Republicans that the rules hurt the economy. She said the agency will work with the industry to "reinvent how we view the business of climate change."
