Former Vt. Gov. Dean calls for IPAB repeal

A provision in the Affordable Care Act creating the Medicare Independent Payment Advisory Board should be repealed, writes Dr. Howard Dean, a former Vermont governor and Democratic presidential candidate. Experience shows cost-control schemes such as the IPAB serve only to make the health care system more bureaucratic while doing little to contain costs, Dean writes.
