For example, Vera Wang, now a household name in the world of fashion, was once a talented figure skater who fell short of the 1968 Olympic team and later was passed over for the top spot at Vogue magazine. "[A]n important part of achieving what we set out to do -- and something that seems to be particularly difficult for women -- is overcoming bumps in the road we may experience along the way," Zeilinger writes.
