Medicare recipients enjoy $7B in drug savings, HHS reports

The Affordable Care Act saved more than 6.6 million seniors a total of $7 billion on prescription medicines, for average savings of $1,061 per individual, HHS announced Monday. The Medicare "doughnut hole" is being phased out by the law, cutting out-of-pocket costs.
