Study finds standards of care can change frequently

More than 100 contemporary standards of care across specialties have been reversed over the past decade, NIH researchers report in Mayo Clinical Proceedings. The review found that 146 of 363 articles in the New England Journal of Medicine assessing a standard of care reversed the practice and 138 reaffirmed it.
