SUPERVALU has prioritized and centralized programs to recover from struggles after its acquisition of Albertsons before the economic downturn, Executive Vice President Janel Haugarth said at the Executive Leadership Forum of the Network of Executive Women. The company floundered in 2012 as it dealt with leadership changes and went through a massive cost reduction, after deciding to sell Albertsons, but SUPERVALU will become a better and stronger business for facing these challenges, Haugarth said.
