Campaign discourages use of offensive language

The Spread the Word to End the Word campaign is aimed at raising awareness about individuals with disabilities and the use of language that is offensive to them. The campaign includes "Not Acceptable," a public-service announcement for television that explains how using such language is harmful, along with initiatives through Illinois Best Buddies that are educating students on why it's important to curb use of the language.
