Puppy overcomes debilitating congenital condition

A Boston terrier puppy born with swimmer puppy syndrome, a congenital condition in which the dog cannot use its legs normally, overcame the odds and is enjoying a relatively normal, active life. Mick regained use of his legs thanks to the dedication and care of volunteers from the Mia Foundation in Rochester, N.Y, a group dedicated to helping animals with congenital defects.
