Senate Democrats question SEC proxy proposals

Senate Banking Committee Democrats are worried about Securities and Exchange Commission proposals that could change the way companies choose board members. The SEC is currently considering two competing proposals on proxy rights -- one which favors companies and one which favors shareholders. "My hope is that the commission will be able to resolve this," said Senate Banking Committee Chairman Christopher Dodd, D-Conn.
