House GOP is divided over tactics on ACA funding

While tea-party conservatives and their allies are pushing to defund the Affordable Care Act, House Republicans remained divided over the strategy of refusing to vote for any spending bill that funds the law. "We either stand for principle now, or, I believe, we surrender to Obamacare permanently," Sen. Ted Cruz, R-Texas, said. Senate Republicans have downplayed the idea, though, and House leaders are not embracing it. "I think leadership is giving other options that they think are more effective," Rep. Pat Tiberi, R-Ohio, said.
