Indian commodity bourse halts trading

India's National Spot Exchange, a commodity exchange owned by Financial Technologies, has suspended trading amid falling volume and a government investigation. Trading was halted "in view of the grave emergency that has emerged in the market", the exchange said. The bourse is under investigation by the Department of Consumer Affairs. Financial Technologies has a 26% stake in Multi Commodity Exchange of India, the country's largest commodity-futures exchange.
