Industry groups criticize chemical-avoidance incentives in LEED

Incentives to use specific building materials under the new LEED standards continue to prompt criticism from industry groups. The American Chemistry Council and others pushed back against previous proposals that would have penalized the use of some materials, but new regulations still go too far in limiting the use of certain advanced materials, industry groups say.
