IT's immigration-reform push gets support from agriculture industry

The IT industry's push for immigration reform is getting support from California agricultural businesses as both segments lobby lawmakers to increase the cap of tech-related work visas and allow more foreign-based college graduates to work in the U.S. "Our goods touch the lives of every American every day of the year -- whether they are reading email, using a cell phone, opening a refrigerator or enjoying a meal. None of this would be possible without the enormous contributions immigrants have made to our respective industries," a letter issued by the two groups says.
