Mumbai terminal puts security before immigration checks

Mumbai's new T2 terminal was designed to be easier for passengers, featuring security checks before immigration unlike the Delhi airport. "If travelers by mistake carry something in the handbag that can't be taken on board, they can give it to who have come to drop them. If security is after immigration (like Delhi) then the traveler is completely cut off. Also this model is being used in many new airports like Hong Kong, Seoul and the most secure airports in Israel," an airport official said.
