New CMS rules will require more detailed hospice care data

CMS reimbursement rules that take effect next year for hospice staff who care for skilled nursing facility residents call for more detailed claims data. The agency said nurses, therapists, social workers and others will need to list line-item information related to visits with inpatient Medicare beneficiaries in skilled nursing facilities and hospitals.
