More hospitals become eligible for a drug-discount program

As many as 1,500 additional hospitals that serve poor patients became eligible to participate in the 340B program, which provides discounts on outpatient drugs. HHS estimated that the number of health care facilities enrolled in the Medicaid program will increase from more than 14,000 to almost 20,000.
