Cargill to build waste-to-energy system in Canada

Cargill plans to build a waste-to-energy system at its beef-processing plant in Alberta that could produce 1.4 megawatts of power from organic waste that would otherwise go to landfills. When it is complete, as much as 80% of the energy needed for the facility will come from organic sources.
