Poll: American men prefer beer, women choose wine

Sixty percent of Americans say they drink alcohol at least occasionally, and more Americans choose beer or wine more often than hard liquor, according to a Gallup poll released on Thursday. The poll indicates that 53% of men prefer beer, while 52% of women name wine as their drink of choice.
