Delta Air Lines plans to trim capacity at its Cincinnati hub by 17% this fall, following a 22% cutback next year. When the latest round of cuts is complete, Delta will have about 215 daily flights in Cincinnati, down from more than 600 in 2005. Local officials, worried that cuts in air service will affect economic development, plan to meet with Delta executives later this month. The city is eager to maintain direct flights to London and Frankfurt, two of the routes slated for elimination this fall.
