Group seeks canine blood samples for cancer study

The Canine Hereditary Cancer Consortium is starting a program to collect blood samples from purebred canines, which would aid researchers in investigating factors that trigger melanoma in dogs. Dogs that already have had cancer tumors removed or that are in remission may participate in the research.
