Monsanto is in talks with Indian government for biotech crop pact

Monsanto is in preliminary negotiations to form a partnership with the Indian government over the development of biotech crops that "are relevant to enhancing productivity" in the country, said Jagresh Rana, director of Mahyco Monsanto Biotech. The talks come amid regulatory trials of Monsanto's biotech corn in India.
