S. Florida to prepare students for future jobs

Students in the Miami area soon could have more opportunities to prepare for careers as logistics engineers and other jobs in the transportation industry. Three groups -- the Miami-Dade County Public School System, Miami Dade College and the Miami Dade Beacon Council -- are working to launch new programs that will help train workers for future expansion projects, such as those planned for the Port of Miami, the Panama Canal and Miami International Airport.
