South Korea opens $35 billion city of Songdo

South Korea plans to open the first phase of Songdo today, a $35 billion city built within the city of Seoul. South Korea's longest bridge of 7.4 miles will open in October and connect Songdo to Seoul's international airport. The 1,500-acre district will contain the Northeast Asia Trade Tower, a Sheraton hotel and housing for 65,000 people when completed. About $10 billion will be spent on the city's infrastructure.
