ACA funding cuts could be on the table after the S&P downgrade

Standard & Poor's downgrade of the nation's credit rating will put pressure on a congressional committee to propose deficit-cutting measures in excess of the initial $1.5 trillion goal, lawmakers said. Republicans say some spending cuts should come from the Affordable Care Act, which Democrats have resisted changing.
