Megabrands hop on board Shopkick platform

Walt Disney, General Mills and Levi Strauss are among a dozen big brands that have signed on to Shopkick's location-based shopping application, according to Jeff Sellinger, co-founder of the mobile commerce firm. Procter & Gamble's CoverGirl, Mead Johnson and Revlon also reportedly have joined the platform, which encourages in-store shopping by awarding discounts and other incentives to consumers who scan product bar codes with their smartphones.
