P&G increased ad spending by 8% in 2010-11 fiscal year

Procter & Gamble spent $9.3 billion on advertising for the fiscal year that ended June 30 -- an 8% increase over the previous year and a record for total ad spending and as a percentage of sales. P&G plans to increase fiscal 2011-12 ad spending at the same rate as its sales, says Chief Financial Officer Jon Moeller.
