Study: Weight gain, belly fat may lead to blood vessel problems

Researchers found that people who gain even a modest amount of weight around their belly are at greater risk of high blood pressure and blood vessel diseases. Weight gain and increased abdominal fat can cause endothelial dysfunction, but the problem is reversible if the excess weight and abdominal fat is lost, the researchers said.
