Los Angeles City Council advances plan to build $1.2B NFL stadium

The financing plans for an NFL stadium in Los Angeles have been approved by the City Council. This could help clear the way for the Anschutz Entertainment Group to build a $1.2 billion stadium. City officials say the financial framework means risks to taxpayers are "minimal." The approval "also signals to AEG that, in fact, we're serious about this, and they can begin their process and ... put their funding together," said Miguel Santana, a city executive.
