Pipistrel will enter electric airplane in green competition

Pipistrel plans to enter a Green Flight Challenge co-sponsored by NASA next month. The Slovenian manufacturer developed the Taurus G4, a twin-fuselage electric airplane, for the competition. "The airplane was designed and built in the course of four months," said Tine Tomazic of Pipistrel. "Its sizing and aerodynamic features, as well as the power train and battery capacity, were matched to the requirements."
