Texas sees growth potential in the olive oil industry

Texas is known for crude oil, but the state is now taking to olive oil. An estimated 500,000 olive trees grow in Texas, with about 250,000 more possible in the next two years, one grower says. Less than 1% of the olive oil that Americans consume each year is grown in the U.S., and farmers hope to fill that void by growing locally.
