Plasma donation in North Carolina allows for extra earnings

Some people in Charlotte, N.C., say they earn an additional $50 a week by donating plasma. The Plasma Protein Therapeutics Association said plasma donation in 2008 reached 18.8 million across the U.S., up from 15 million in 2007 and 12.5 million in 2006. The increase in donations could be a result of the economic crisis and the increase in donation facilities, industry experts said.
