Even early adopters struggle with enterprise data management

Enterprise data management has been a difficult area for many firms to fully address, with even the best large-scope data management programs in the early implementation phase. However as regulators increase scrutiny in this area, firms will find they must scramble to catch up. “When it gets to implementing platforms, many firms are still going back to basics," says Gert Raeves, a research director with TowerGroup. "The early adopters do have a security master in place, but the industry as a whole has yet to see that as a mainstream need."
